PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Is available to anyone who:

    • Is a Current Code Administrator (registered by the PA Department of Labor and Industry) or
    • Is a Construction Code Official (certified by the PA Department of Labor and Industry in one or more categories as a Plans Examiner or Inspector) or
    • Is a Certified Building Code Official (certified by the PA Department of Labor and Industry)

Annual Dues

$39.00 Introductory Rate through 9/30/05

$59.00 Renewal Rate or New Applications after 9/30/05



MUNICIPAL / THIRD PARTY AGENCY MEMBERSHIP

Is available to:

    • Any municipality in Pennsylvania
    • Any Third Party Agency certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to provide UCC administration and enforcement services

Annual Dues

Dues are on a sliding scale, based on the number of Department of Labor and Industry registered and certified code officials employed by the municipality or Third Party Agency. "Employed" shall include salaried, hourly, administrative, management and executive employees, as well as legally operating "agents", "contract employees" and "independent contractors" under contract to or under the control of a municipality or Third Party Agency.

Individual employees, agents, contract employees or independent contractors may also voluntarily apply for Professional Membership as long as they meet the qualifications for that category of membership.

PABCO will not solicit persons for membership who are registered or certified by the Department of Labor and Industry and are "employed" by a municipality or Third Party
Agency provided that the municipality or Third Party Agency provide the names of the persons that are included in their membership fee.

This category of membership is open to:

      • Individuals
      • Unincorporated Partnerships
      • Sole Proprietorships
      • Schools, Colleges, Universities, Technical Centers

Who are:

      • Engaged in providing services to those engaged in building code administration and enforcement
      • Interested in furthering the objectives of professional building code administration and enforcement in Pennsylvania

$79.00 Introductory rate through 9/30/05

$99.00 Renewal Rate or New Applications after 9/30/05



          ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP – CORPORATE OR ORGANIZATIONAL

This category of membership is open to:

      • Corporations
      • Trade Associations
      • Units of Government (municipal, state, federal) that do not qualify for Municipal Membership

Who are:

      • Engaged in providing services to those engaged in building code administration and enforcement
      • Interested in furthering the objectives of professional building code administration and enforcement in Pennsylvania

Annual Dues

$179.00 Introductory Rate through 9/30/05

$249.00 Renewal Rate or New Applications after 9/30/05


Special Notes for All Membership Categories:

Dues are valid for twelve months, beginning on the first of the month following receipt of a completed membership application. Anniversary/renewal date will be one year from the last day of the month in which the membership application is received.

A portion of annual dues may be deductible as an eligible business expense. Please consult with your tax preparer for more information regarding the deductibility of membership dues in professional organizations.

PABCO will provide its members with an annual statement regarding the portion of dues that are devoted to lobbying activities and therefore are not deductible as an eligible business expense.
